The Association controlls approximately seven miles of the river, mostly double bank except where tree/bush growth reduces this to single bank. There are many access points and the river can be walked throughout the seven miles. Wading is also possible through certain stretches, but in others high banks prevent entry to the water.
There is an abundance of wildlife along the river. Apart from the expected aquatic life, you will see myriad species of insect, owls, bats, waterfowl, kingfishers and other birdlife.
